Goodbye

by Whitney Davis   Jul 18, 2007

This is just me saying goodbye,
To my best friend and all our good times.
You were always there and I know you will be later on,
You are my hero, you have been all along.
I grew up beside you always getting into trouble,
This year will be different I will certainly struggle.
I wish you the best and I know this is your dream,
But I just wish I had more time, a year or two more, before you had to leave and go fight in that war.
Without you here, to stand by my side,
I will pray for you by day and by night.
I will stand proud and I know I will say, Look that is my brother, a soldier, look how brave! For
You are my hero like I said before.

When ever people ask when you leave and where you go
All I can say is that you leave to soon and for far to long,
That you are going to a place that is to far away,
Then I feel my eyes water and I wish you could stay.
James you âre my hero and I love you so much.
I wish you the best, and I know you will be back home so I can stop worrying and shedding these tears,
You âre so brave and you have no fears, you âre strong and loyal and they are lucky to be getting you.
So this one last time on paper I type.
Goodbye my big brother a Ranger in flight!
