Of Poets and Poetry

This poem sucks.
Everything I've ever written
Has made my stomach churn
in sickness,
But still I keep on writing...
Why?
I write because I am a poet,
And what else is a poet
to do with her life
Than write...
As fish breathe water
I breathe in words,
They are my life,
My heart beat.
Poetry is my religion.
I find salvation in
rhymes and rhythm.
I find new beginnings
In words and meaning.
I am a poet...
This is what I do.

    And I can tell it means alot to you,

    ....i was gonna comment all in rhyme, but i gave up...

    We both started on this site aound the sme time, now look at you, ur pratically a poetry veteran, 160 poems, i'm still on 37 :P.

    Your poetry has always had a special vibe, and i like that alot. I'd say 'keep writing' but you're going to anyways lol.
