Return the pain

by Julie   Jul 20, 2007

Her black nail polish fades to grey
and she becomes a little bit
colder everyday
all of this because you left
you broke her down
and ran away
being a theft
you took her heart somewhere
unknown
she's going crazy
this insomnia she feels
it gets worse and worse
and every step she takes
becomes more unreal
she's dying to feel
the impossible
her imperfections shine in the light
she forget the difference
between wrong and right
chasing after you
became old
she tries to forget
but the story always unfolds
you look in her eyes
you see what she's got left
an untold story
and a lot of regret
loving you isn't worth it
if she ends up like this
but a promise is never
a thing she'll keep unkept
she promised you forever
and forever is what it will stay
she'll keep that promise
and remain this way
she loved you once
and she'll love you again
because you cursed her
with the feel of your skin
broken inside
tattered and torn
looking for a reason
to why this feeling
was born
she walks slowly
through the dust and the rain
hoping one day
she can return the pain
