My Choices

Life to me just isn't fun
I'm just not where I want to be
So unlike you I need to run
And finally be free

Free from heartache
Free from pain
Free from crying and
Free from shame

No longer will I have the need
To cut my wrists
Starve myself or
Stare at my body in disgust

I will finally be able to say
I'm happy with myself
My choices
And Me

I will look in the mirror
And smile at what I see
I will put down the knife
And feel tingly inside

I will write down my thoughs
For those who I love
And I will probably cry
As I say goodbye

For when I look in the mirror
And smile at what I see
I am smiling becase I can see
My vision is blurry and I feel sorta dizzy

For when I put down the knife
And feel tingly inside
I am tingly because I can see
Blood on that knife

Now I can finally say
I am happy with myself

And me
