Blood Stained Red

by Romancing the Darker Side   Jul 26, 2007

Those small and fragile eyes
That cry such perfect tears
They make memories swim
Those painful, hurtful fears

Her mother an alchololic
And the father she never knew
Plant the seeds of lonliness
Their cold love is overdue

The close friends she prayed she had
And the wishes on the stars
Only help her feel the pain
Here, she'll add another scar

She's bullied and bruised
At school every day
She sits on the sidelines
When her class goes out to play

Another day she'll wait now
For the kiss she never had
Another day is wasted
Wishing she had Mom and Dad

The times she now remembers
As she sits inside her head
"God, this feels like home here,
Counting all the tears I've bled"

The distant memories
All lost inside her head
Were what made her pale wrists
That perfect blood-stained red
