Shut Up

by Avrii Monrielle   Jul 26, 2007

Get out of my life and close the shades,
I'll be standing here 'till you walk away,
Kill me inside like you know you do,
Break me apart 'till you're finally through.

First you hurt me for no reason,
Once more friends by the next season,
My heart was never yours to have,
And the whole darn story's like a laugh.

Quit hurting me, I'm begging you, before my time is over,
You cause my aches, my patience breaks, as I hurt another,
I've hated you for many months as you hit my heart,
But when I think about it, your picture needs more darts.

Stop it now, quit making me smile,
I feel close once again although we're apart miles,
I hate how good it feels and how bad it shouldn't,
I know what has been and what just couldn't.

I've felt your hate and I've felt your sadness,
Your bittersweet gratitude and soft set gladness,
You've faced my anger and sudden struck pride,
But you've never seen the things held down deep inside.

I'm tired of fighting you every other week,
It brings back so much memories I cannot bear to speak;
I'm gonna tell you kindly because you need to know,
The sooner you shut up, the sooner you can go.
