I bow my head

by purplemadness   Jul 27, 2007

I dry my eyes and bow my head,
I long for love, but I get misery instead.
Why aren't you near me?
Because here is where my love will be.
Silently weeping I look at the ground,
Feeling bad for the love I never found.

I bow my head and start to pray,
Will you ever kiss me one day?
My inner fire makes me burn,
But will my love ever be returned?
My feelings are in a total whirl,
Will you ever be my girl?

I bow my head at night,
After staring too long at the starlight.
I think of all the things we've said,
And of how I want to be there with you instead.
I want to be so much more than just friends,
Thinking of that, I burry my face in my hands.

You lift me up each day,
Even though we are so far away.
We started of as friends,
But piece by piece our love did mend.
And I bow my head for you,
Because you're so good in loving the way you do.
