Given one wish, I could change the world.
I could bring peace to all of the people.
I know it seems selfish, but where would that leave me?
Still heartbroken and crying over you?

Given one wish, I could make you love me.
I could be happier than I've ever been before.
I know it seems ungrateful, but would it be the same?
Knowing it wasn't real?

Given one wish, I could forget all about you.
I could finally be free of the pain you've caused me.
I know it seems confusing, but would it be worth it?
To lose all of our good memories too?

Given one wish, I could give myself the power to move on.
I could meet a new guy, and be satisfied.
I know it seems arrogant, but would that be enough?
To jeopardize my own happiness?

I could finally feel the happiness I thought I didn't deserve.
I know it seems ignorant, but would I still be lonely?

Given one wish, I could have complete revenge.
I could let you see what a broken heart does to a person.
I know it seems redundant, but would i really feel better?
Knowing I hurt a person I truly love?

I could see the gratitude in your eyes.
I know it seems childish, but would I be upset?

Given one wish, I could be everything you desire.
I could be all of that and more.
I know it seems ridiculous, but what would happen to our friendship?

Given one wish, I could make myself immune to pain.
I could never cry again.
I know it seems ironic, but would good times be as great?
If I never had to suffer?

Given just one wish, I could do many different things.
I could change my life completely.
I know it seems strange, but I wouldn't ever do it.
