white like your wings
and here is a red one
to show how my heart bleads

throw them down,
down to the dirt,
mixing with my tears of sadness,
of my pain, and how it hurts

your face in a frame
telling us that it's you we lack,
sits upon a mantel,
while around it we mourn in black

seeing your mother
the mascara runs down her eyes,
she wanted to look beautiful for you,
for the one who now lives in the skies

your father he speaks,
with a glass in his hand,
a toast to you,
for the life that you had.

the reality has stopped,
we all are feeling numb

walking back,
away from the wood,
was the hardest thing,
as we all went to go get some food
