A Prisoner's Dream

by Skysailor   Jul 31, 2007

Shall I stay, as your prisoner?
Stay as you wish and you... as my ruler?
How it must feel to be free... like my dreams before..
to feel the gentle breeze people felt and has said before
and see that beautiful sun sinking into the horizon.
How much I wish to live these fantasies, dreams
and may I say it.. my own imagination.
But like how you did before,
you locked these fantasies and dreams into a cage of darkness
and how dare you swallow that key..
But why? Why must I be held captive?
Is it for your own pleasure and enjoyment to watch me cry?
Locked up in this cell, shackles locked up tight.
How much I wish... wish to break these shackles
and be free.. to live my own life,
without these orders or demands you say each day.
"You should give up," you demand.
But as a prisoner, I shall stay strong, determined and
live up to this desire, my only fantasy.
