are somehow justified
The vain attempt by my part
is my pathetic heart

The fear to care again
the need to somehow mend
The urge for any touch
the memory - it's just too much

The confusion and despair
the want for something
that can never be there

The realization of it all
as sadness begins to fall
The knowledge of the truth
backed up with undying proof
stains my very veins
with nothing more
but pain
