Soldier Brothers

by Jared   Aug 2, 2007

15 long, hard years we've lived together
Gave momma hell, she deserves so much better.
Through all the fusses and all the fights
And never really staying all that tight.
We will always love each other.
And you'll carry on as my soldier brother...
6 long years, I won't see you.
6 long years, my sky won't be blue.
Please come on home
Cuz I can't sleep with you gone.
That 50/50 chance of you gettin' shot.
Runnin' through my head, all the times we fought.
This is my letter from home you've looked for.
If you die before you get this, my heart will be tore.
Straighten up your life, get right with God
That way he can give you a nod.
Your ticket to heaven, so you can see grandpa.
The glorious appearance of Jesus; to your knees, you'll fall.
I love you Cody; I hope you love me too.
Please keep safe because I need you.
But if you have to leave without saying goodbye
Please tell grandpa I said hi!
Other than all that be safe and stay under cover.
So we can always love eachother.
Just wait 2 years.. we will carry on as soldier brothers.
