The Land Down Under

by Dan   Aug 2, 2007

The wide brown land i call my home, with its cities, land marks, and people who are great. We've animals, underground, and poking their heads out of the pouches of their mothers. Our animals run, our animals bound, they fly and bite and jump. Our rock stands at our center, and Johnny Howard lives in our capital. Our Great Barrier Reef is home to our beauty, and our Great Ocean Road was built by the hands of our patriots. We fought at Galipoli, with our neighbor's The Kiwi's, and our Darwin was bombed, by some bloody Nazi's (or some crap like that). We've crocs and croc hunters, Bat's, Rat's and Cat's, and of course we've got Vegemite, Qantas, and heaps of phone networks. But what I think, as i stand on this land, is that this is my home, the back of my hand!
