I am sitting there
Wondering
Hoping
Thinking maybe she feels the same
She is sitting beside me
Looking at me
In a wondrous hope she blinks
Her eyes glisten
Her stair gets deeper
Like she is trying to read my mind
She looks dead into my eyes
I look back
Her fingers move as we hold hands under the cover
With a half love half curious smile on her face
She leans her head on my shoulder
Her legs are on the couch beside her
Her arms in my lap
My right hand on her hip
My left is locked with hers
I look at her
With a relaxed smile on her face I kiss her cheek
She looks up at me
I look back
Once again our eyes meet
I slide my hand from her hip to her stomach
I kiss her forehead
She has a satisfied but nervous look on her face
She whispers the words
"I love you"
I slide my hand from her stomach back to her hip
I whisper back
"I love you too baby"
I kiss her in the cheek
She lays her head back down on my shoulder
She closes her eyes
She starts to fall asleep
I gently rub her cheek with my fingers
She opens her eyes and looks up at me
I whisper into her ear
"You want to go to bead honey"
She gently shakes her head and whispers back
"No I'm comfortable"
She puts her head back on my shoulder
She closes her eyes
I lean my head on hers
I close my eyes
I fall asleep with her comfort of her in my arms
And her love in my heart
