This Girl Woke Up Today

This girl woke up today
popped the pimples on her chin
she posed in front of her mirror
making sure she was perfectly thin
today was the day
when school pictures would be took
she wanted to be the prettiest girl
inside of the new yearbook

soon she got to school
and she felt eyes upon her
thought she heard people say she was fat
and thats he didn't belong here
she ran to the bathroom
bent over the seat
shoved her finger down her throat
and saw breakfasts bacon meat
she pulled down her sleeves
to cover scars on her arm
maybe later tonight
she would cause them more harm
lunch time soon came
but she refused to eat
this was the fourth time
that this happened this week

pictures were being take
and she smiled her best
but then she went pale
and grabbed hold of her chest
she suddenly stopped breathing
her mind went all hazy
she fell to the ground
as her eyes went lazy

this girl didn't wake up today
she breathed her last breath
she had been killing herself
and now she caused her own death
