Miss Your Smile

by Miss Megan   Aug 5, 2007

There's this tension hanging in the air,
The kind that everyone's affected by.
With our stances stiff and our silences awkward,
I hope that this was all worth your time.

Your eyes glaring, oh if looks could kill;
Honesty really never was your best trait.
I want you to know that I miss your smile,
But there's only so much time that I can wait.

The touch of your skin as our fingers intertwine,
The taste of your lips so softly pressed to mine.
Hold on to me and never let me go.

Deep sighs and mumbled words escape your lips,
Your murderous stares still burning me down.
I'm unable to live through the shame, this agony;
I want to be lost; I want to never be found.

You've got me trapped, suffocated under your hold;
You've stolen my very last breath.
But I haven't given up on you, like you on me;
Can you feel my heart beating?
Still pounding beneath my chest?

The touch of your skin as our fingers intertwine,
The taste of your lips so softly pressed to mine.
Hold on to me and never let me go.

This pain searing through my veins,
Controlling my every move.
You've made me weak, so vulnerable;
What am I to do?

Your eyes glaring, oh if looks could kill;
Honesty really never was your best trait.
I want you to know that I miss your smile,
But there's only so much time that I can wait.

The touch of your skin as our fingers intertwine,
The taste of your lips so softly pressed to mine.

The touch of your skin as our fingers intertwine,
The taste of your lips so softly pressed to mine.
Hold on to me and never let me go.
