AND STILL I LET YOU

after everything you have done to me
after everything you have put me through
i still let you do it
let you
get away with it
get away with
lying
cheating
drinking
getting into trouble
i think to myself why?
why? do i let you do it
why don't i just leave you
my answer is i love you
i let you treat me like that
because of love
to many people love is
great it is amazing
but to me
the worst thing to do is love someone
cos you will get hurt
love causes so much pain and misery
but yet i cant stop loving you
i let you treat me bad
cos i dont want to loose you
i have herd you lies
so many times
and yet i still believe them
and i still fall for your charm
i have no trust in you
all i have is love
and to me that is enough

    I've been in this situation, and I stayed for the same reason. It's so hard, but I left him. That was two years ago, plus, and now I am in an amazingly wonderful relationship that I am confident will be my last. It all depends on if you want better than what you get...and no one deserves to be treated like that. Good poem, though...
