Going Nowhere Fast

by hana heroin e   Aug 7, 2007

I saw my reflection in the river
I went outside and danced in the rain
I caught a snowflake on my tongue
I walked barefoot on the beach and watched the sunset
I laughed at things that weren't funny and I cried at stupid things
I turned the music up so loud I couldn't breathe
I hugged my family and kissed a dog
I ran in the ocean and talked to the sand
I screamed when I was happy and I smiled when I wasn't
I told my crush I loved him
I smiled when he called me weird
I played hide and seek with a bluebird
I got lost in the sheets
I fell asleep in a pine tree
I rode my bike through the sprinklers
I brought flowers to the cemetery
I braided my hair
I wore a stupid hat and a dress
I painted my nails pink
I dyed my hair blue
I killed a fly
I washed the car and the cat
I flew without wings
I loved everything I hated
I crawled after my baby cousin and an inchworm
I ate ten burgers
I swam in polluted water
I drank from the bird bath
I caught a frog
I climbed a mountain taller than the sky
I had the best day ever
