A Poem for Pine Class

by Jen   Aug 9, 2007

I wrote this poem after completing my voluntary work at a Lower School. i had been there 2years and had bonded with the children and the staff of Reception.

"Summer has arrived and the
End of term is here.
And as i say goodbye to you,
I'll probably shed a tear.

I'll miss the FIVE FAT SAUSAGES
and the MONKIES ON THE BED.
I'll miss you caounting 1-2-3
And learning A to Z.

Your summer will be full of fun,
With trips and outings too.
The six weeks off will soon fly by,
You'll see your friends real soon.

So then you'll hurry back to school,
To work and learn and play.
To start a brand new class and year
Oh what a happy day.

Thank you fro being the way you are,
For making Friday's fun.
I'll remember you and how great yoou were,
Pine Class, You're My Number One!"
