Liar

by Dying Beautifully   Aug 11, 2007

You are supposed to be here with me,
You I could never see.
You aren't here even though you promised,
And your love I used to want I prayed and wished.
You never returned the favor,
So much for being a saviour.
What kind of god would let us hurt,
What kind of saviour leave us in the dirt?
How can you let us be beaten,
Priests don't know what they are speakin'.
You didn't rise,
These are all lies.
Your not here your don't exist,
Praying to a lie now that's something to be missed.

*Don't write me if you don't like it then don't read it*

    Beck,

Though it didn't correlate with me, I liked this piece nevertheless... How touching. The sentiments of betrayal and sorrow drawn out by the character endeared the poem to me. It's perfectly innocent. Yet his/her innocence was demoralized with treachery. Truly an emotive write. All the best.

    Take care,
