To my dear nan

by Daisy Wells   Aug 12, 2007

My Nan, you have always been there
To love and protect me and show me that you care
You taught me about the wrongs and rights of life
And always stuck by me through troubles and strife.

You spoil me rotten with clothes and money
And tell me old stories that are oh so funny
When I am with you nothing else seems to matter
Itâ??s great to see you and have a good old natter.

Iâ??ll never forget the times that you said
What you and Jim got up to together in bed
Not something you share but you kept on going
Normal Nanâ??s talk about books and sewing.

Then thereâ??s your dogs that are so special to you
There always at your side in everything you do
And your pink car you love, your pride and joy
Mum begged you for one but all she got was that toy.

Through all of the bad times and good times to
No one will ever make me feel as special as you do
All I can say Nan is I love you till the very end
You have been and always will be my very best friend!
