Raindrop Tears

by Jenn   Aug 13, 2007

There's a stillness in your eyes I go to escape life.
There's an achievement I feel whenever you're near.
Like, something in my life has finally gone right
But now the moment has come that I always placed fear.

You've chosen your path,
And Im not there beside you.
Am I anywhere in the vision of your sight?

Dropping like rain drops on the hard pavement,
I see the future, and for me, its dark and gray.
Covering my skies with clouds of sorrow,
Risking a tear with the rain of tomorrow.

Bring me life from the angel of Music
And sing a song in which I can dwell.
The place I once ran to for comfort,
Has become my place of Hell.

Fantasy, Dreams, and wishes
Someone once told me they weren't true.
Now I know I should've believed the words
Then I wouldn't be thinking of you.

Dropping like rain drops on the hard pavement,
I see the future, and for me, its dark and gray.
Covering my skies with clouds of sorrow,
Risking a tear with the rain of tomorrow.

Allow your thoughts to travel with mine.
And escape the story thats life.
Believe me when there's no turning back
Put your trust in me like you did back when
Back when kids could be best friends,
And enemies were not yet invented.
Back to when our dreams could fly,
And we still had it in us to try.
