and it sets us apart

it is what we say it is
it is in the sky
its in all the air we breath
it was made for you and i

it stays with us when we're apart
it holds us together
it always makes everything better
and we know we will be forever

it is how the world goes
it is impossible to define
it is so powerful that when im sad
you make everything fine

it makes people feel high
and it uses no drugs
it makes an exception to everything
it lets loose of all those tugs

so what you ask me is this thing
that made me write this poem
love is the word, what else would it be
your love is truly my home
