Broken Hearted

Every time you look at me,
My heart melts inside.
And even when you talk to me,
I want to run and hide.

I know I'll never be yours
No matter how hard I try,
But when I see you my heart soars,
And it feels like I can fly.

Knowing the way you feel for me
Is only like a friend,
Makes my heart sink below the sea
With no other way to mend.

The only way to mend my heart?
Tell me how you feel.
So even if we're miles apart
I'll know your love is real.

And if your love is only friendship,
Please tell me right now.
So from now on I'll bite my lip
And change my mind somehow

To keep me from feeling this,
This awful misery.
To let Cupid know his arrow missed,
And that we will never be.

    I love this...the emotion and depth in this piece are easily sensed.
    My favourite part is the last stanza, I loved the ''His arrow missed''.
    Flow was good throughout the piece and the imagery portrayed created vivid pictures.

    I like the topic of your poem, the emotion not so much felt but easy to understand. The flow was okay but i thought it could've been better. Please don't take my opinion the wrong way, the poem was indeed nice. Keep writing. =D

    This is a simple piece but i like it that way... the emotions were great, i know how it feels. whoa! the flow is okay.. good job!
