No cinderella story

The story never changes
but the characters always do
boy meets girl, girl meets boy
a life of happiness and i love you

so how come that in the real world
love always end up with pain
and a life of sadness and hurt
and your heart in a strain

the old cinderella stories
a prince on a white horse
but in the sad old reality
love never flows on a straight course

so why do we always say it will be different
when we all know very well
that it will be that same old stories
and for weeks we will dwell

but despite all the hurt and pain
and all the sadness i've gone through
and even though it's no cinderella story
i will carrying on loving you
