Mother Mother

Carrier of life
Beginning of day
Start to the foundation
Leading us the right way
A Savior from your womb
Grown from loving arms
A mother and a father
No worries or alarms
A full grown man
Your son born to die
When that day came
Difficult to say good-bye
Love being shattered
From whip to his flesh
Tears of pain and sorrow
Blood and Faith mesh
A cross stained with murder
A man without any sin
He hung there watching
Pity from within
Heaven filled eyes
Forgiven those who are killing
Spite dripping from lips
Hearts with hate are filling
Open clouds of heaven
Rain falls as does his son
A battle worth winning
A war already won
Mother Mother
Cry no more he does say
Im safe with my father
Dint be led a stray
Mother Mother
Cry tears of joy
This son of your has grown up
A man
No longer a boy
Mother Mother
I hear your hearts cry
Im alive and well, mother
Today I will not die
And Mother Mother
When Im gone let your faith sharpen
Ill see you and welcome you
When you join me in heaven
