I thought life would be better on my own
I was sure I would make it through
But now I'm feeling all alone
I have no idea what I have to do

We agreed on taking a break
To see other people for awhile
I knew this was a huge mistake
When again I saw your smile

Going from taken to being single,
People think it's so easy and fun
Being able to enjoy life and mingle
Really, what have I done?

We thought it was best for us,
For us to be apart
But it feels like a bus
Just ran over my heart

I lay at night thinking of you
Wondering what you dream about
Do you think about me too?
Or has your life just kicked me out?

I relied on you to be there
No matter what the calling
You promised me you'd be here
To catch me while I'm falling

You were such a big part
Of my life from beginning 'till now
I guess I will have to start
My new life somehow

Yesterday you were here with me
Now today you're so far from home
Everywhere, everything, you're still all I see
