Promise To Be There

I know that sometimes it is hard to say,
That everything is fine or it's all OK

And sometimes you are too tired to even try
And you continue to break down and cry...

Sometimes words will never replace a pain,
That is continuously caused and is driving you insane...

The past is gone and the consequences are here,
And you're seeing that life isn't as easy as it once did appear...

And you'll never know how much it hurts to see you cry,
I'd do anything to make you happy, probably even die...

And I understand that the words that I say to you
You might find to be a little hard to find true

When I tell you "It's OK", you can roll your eyes,
Because most of the time, it's all mostly lies

Words can't control what will happen tomorrow
Whether it being happiness, laughter, or sorrow...

So when you're telling yourself that life isn't fair,
Please remember that some of us still do care...

I can't make all of this better for you,
But I would do whatever I can do

So scream for a while, let out a cry or two
Do whatever you have to do

But when you feel like everything is crashing down,
And everything you need is no where to be found

Please just remember while I'm in the back of your mind,
That I am never too hard to find

I'll be the first one to tell you that life isn't fair,
And when it's not buddy, i promise that I'm always there...
