Dad

Why did you leave us?
Why do you go?
Was it something I did?
Was it something I know?
I was four years old
And I you did blame
"I never wanted three kids" is what you would claim.
Seventeen years ago I'm sure you forgot,
You had two sons and a daughter who loved you a lot.
You ran from our lives you never looked back,
Thanks to mum she got us all back on track.
I refuse to refer to you as my father,
As it is the single life you would rather.
You had three kids and wanted none,
You left us without a father...that was not fun.
Sad but true after all these years,
The pain you have brought me and the floods of tears.
Although this is ok it's the life you have chosen,
But my love for you is like air that is frozen.
It is silent and invisible it is cold and it is true,
But I cannot deny that I will always love you.
