What we were

As i sit hear staring into space i remember what we were,
i know it will never happen again but still i wish it will,
i think back on why i dumped you and why you made me,
i think that its recked two friendships that were strong.

you took my heart in i thought we would last forever,
you made me happy and you knew it,
you made me smile i had the time of my life,
you made me think nothing could get through us,i was wrong,
and yet you took my heart tore it up and spat me out.

when we were together you were like my security blanket,
you kept me safe and helped me through life,
our time together was short but sweet,
you made me think you loved me but you didn't.

when i think of you i think of the time of my life,
if we were to be you would know you need me and i need you,
i still love you no matter what i or you do to each other.
