Me Again

by Ressa   Apr 28, 2004

My heart beats so loudly to my own ears
You draw near me and it stops
only for a second, a small jolt
you who shines so brightly
with so much energy and life
i am burned by your warmth
i long to taste such energy
to bask in the glow of life once more
pain washes over me in waves
unable to speak my hearts desire
silent tears dampen my cheeks
shadows hover over me, whispering
cackling with glee at my loss
slowly clouds gather over me
rain begins to fall in heavy drops
washing away with it some of the hurt
cleansing my heart, healing wounds
i am revitalized
breathing in the clean air
I am me again.
