First Love - First Lost

Some days I wonder
Wonder what happened to us
What went wrong with us?

Some days I wish I could do it over
Other days I would not
But some reason I want you back

You were my first love
You gave me my first kiss
You gave me hope
You gave me a reason to go on

In turn I gave you pain
I ignored you at times
Times I thought you hated me
When you really needed me

I confused my mind
Into thinking that you were to good for me
When really we were meant as one
I ruin a wonderful thing

Now I sit here typing this
I lost my first love
The one who saw the real me
The one I could talk to about anything

Yet today as I sit here typing
You are enjoying you new child
Your new man and soon to be husband

I gave you away
My mind confused my heart
And now I have to wait
Wait again for that next love
If it will ever come again

I am sorry for the fact that I
Was too stubborn to see your love
I hope you the best
To you and your new family
I lost you cause of me
That proves we were not meant to be
