He realms among the lands
Moves from city to city
With bravery and pride in his heart
He is loved, he is lusted, he is envied
No weakness, no softness
He can not afford to be soft
Then among the way he gets hit
He never saw it coming
But it did eventually
An arrow straight into his heart
It traumatized him at first
He needed time to cope with it
As time went on he welcomed the arrow
Some saw him burry it deeper to his flesh
Many tried to pull it out
Many tried to give him his strength back
They all failed. Exactly what he had in mind
For if our brave warrior wants to be weak
Wants to keep that golden arrow in his heart
Then no mortal will be able to rid him of it
It hit him by shock
With time he never was able to see himself without it
It seemed meant to be
Those who envied his strength
Now envy his love for the arrow
All knew them as the warrior and the golden arrow
Warriors searched for arrows like his,
Arrows searched for a warrior's heart like his
None succeeded, they all failed
A year has passed and then another
While our warrior lost all love for battle
All that mattered was the golden arrow
The arrow that changed his life forever
Until one day, just when all said it was never bound to happen¢ï¿½¦
His arrow fell straight out of his heart
To the ground it slipped, out of his warm flesh
He kept it warm, it kept him company
Turned him soft, taught him how to appreciate
Its place was no longer in his heart
Its place was no longer with him
In present day, in other words today
He travels around with agony and anguish
Some see him hold his hand close to his hearts
The emptiness she left behind strikes him from time to time
As for the arrow he once owned
Now travels the world for another heart to strike
