Don't Forget To Remeber Me [[in vain]]

The waves are pulling you in and it hurts
Its scraping your bones as it drags you in the dirt
Youre trying to scream but you cant get it out
Youre throat is bleeding and they cant hear you shout

The life guards are tanning for they dont really mind
How youre screams of terror are bottled inside
I stand on the rocks, waiting to jump off and drown
But Im watching you yelling when you dont make a sound

Like a lifeless bird adrift on the waves
You attempts seemed like nothing but all the strength that you gave
Your family is alone now, they dont really care
And I know youre thinking life isnt fair

I smile at you, silently dying in pain
Im going to jump, but not die in vain
Youre going to live, just take my hand
Before you know it, youll be safe on the sand

Mommy and daddy will hug you so tight
Every ones happy but out of their sight
Im left alone, tossed by the sea
Now that I know no one misses me

In memory of

For all who died out on the sea
On land or in the sky, thanks for rescuing me
I wont ever forget you, Im proud to be
A proud survivor thanks to the USMC
