Within This Storm

by Unrequited   Aug 27, 2007

Tonight, the rain washes over
blankets the earth with tears
your love has drown within this storm
now i crumble, and realize my darkest fears.

my ears fall deaf as the thunder roars
my skin feels no warmth as the silver rain pours
this night is sacred, as was your heart
now clouds rule the kingdom, picking our love apart.

my eyes hold no sight, as lightning illuminates
this soul is drained of passion, as the water rejuvenates
the sky is sharp, like the words off your tongue
angels write the music, but our song remains unsung.

raindrops pierce this flesh
all love buried in the ground
you leave me here, an empty chest
my loving heart, nowhere to be found.

    Flawlessly Penned.

This poem brought tear's too my eyes, The thunderstorm was very effective. It deepend the emotion's, made the pain sharper, and the tear's swifter.
The emotions ran deep, and you could feel the pain seep of every word.
