Find Another Route

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   Aug 27, 2007

Do you dare me?
To take this key,
Unlock you from your prison cell.
For the past 30 years, you've known it to be hell.

3O years ago, you murdered your wife,
You know it, I know it, you should have got life.
In your mind there was no love,
But that didn't mean she had to go to the clouds above.

Now you can't forget,
Or even live with the regret.
If you remember, the date was set,
It was a blind date, when you two first met.

You say it was cool,
But you know you were such a fool.
To take that knife,
And slit the throat of your wife.

How could you not consider the thought?
That sooner or later you'd be caught.
The jury should have sentenced you, to be on death row,
No point in letting you're head hang low.

You murdered my step sister,
Her name was Danielle Lister.
I'm not going to bail you out.
So you'll have to find another route.
