Two Hearts pain

This season is the time for happiness and cheer,
But look through my eyes and you will see a tear.

The days that torment my soul
you will realize I'm not whole
and as hearts collide
mines will not fly.

The words that I speak are never to be heard,
And all I want from you is your promising word.
No one ever listens to a word that I say,
All I need is for someone to point me into the traveling way

But instead I'm thrown on twisted roads
My heart trampled
people pick it up as a sample
and I don't know how much more I can handle.

you throw me here and there
and you spit on everything we ever shared
you've left me cold and bare
all i ever wanted was for you to care

I was protected and safe
never been in a better place
you gave me a feeling higher then all
and so instead you let me fall.

Thank-you for the hurt, thank-you for it all
thanks for saying you'd be there then letting me fall
cant take the pain any longer
cant make my life any harder

I yearn and mourn
for the greatest days
but theres no way
and so I guess hurts here to stay.
