Guilty

by Beauty Within These Pages of Darkness   Sep 1, 2007

How could you do this to us?
How could you send us out there?
All you want is the bloody oil,
And you tell the world that you care.

Yeah, care for your own gain,
Sending us out to a country in turmoil,
When you know we've got battles to fight,
On our home soil.

I'd love to see to you come out here,
Bush your coward,
Can't believe we chose you,
To be in power.

Let's all gather together,
Be united as one,
We want this war to end.
We don't want another mother to lose her only son.

Imagine the President out there,
With an AK47 strapped to his side,
First sign of danger,
He'd run and hide.

We've got men and women out here,
Fighting in battles for honour and pride,
Don't believe Bush when he's says, we're fighting for freedom,
No we're not, we're fighting for our lives.

Leaving our friends behind,
Leaving our families all alone,
Mum's, dad's, wive's sister's, daughter's...
All scared that we might not be coming home.

Mr President, declaring war,
Was one of your big mistakes,
You may sit there in the White House and smile,
But just sit and think about the unlucky soldiers, that don't make it back,
Sit there and feel guilty about how you sealed their fates.
