What is death for you?

by Mr Rhee   Sep 2, 2007

Can you smell the roses
through all the blood?
Can you taste the water
with your burnt tongue?

Does your skin warm in the sun
as it did in the fire?
Does your hair still comb
even after it has been ripped off?

Will your fingers still grasp
although they are cut off?
Will your eyes still see
as they lay at your feet?

Have you your senses
after all the torture?
Have you ever relished
this much pain before?

What will become of you
if you were allowed to die?
What is death for you,
but another wave of pain?

Who will carry you
to your death bed?
Who wants to want to
care enough for you?

You are your own messenger
for all your pains.
You are all alone,
because that is the way you want it.
