Are we growing up, or just growing down.

Running through tram stops and train crossings seconds before the train hurdles past alongside screaming trams and we continue without the expected reaction of oh shit hitting the brain at all. are we as thick as the sludge that oozes between our naked feet as we dance to the electronic beat all but the four of us appear to be either deaf or immune too, are we continuing on the never ending journey of growing up or are we merely awakening to the ideals of growing down, reigning in at least an ounce of naivety each day. petals should fall at our feet as swaying swishy skirts dance above our knees. we should wear the bright tones of flowers in our hair carrying hand made croquet bags and wearing the doors singlet tops at any opportunity we get. at the tops of our lungs we will scream give peace a chance, our message making john Lennon smile at us as Yoko Ono rots a terrible death. our plea will fall on death ears, yet we should imagine it is heard by the world. love should prosper far superior to money and the negative power that comes with an americanized brand of dictatorship. Hitler was prosecuted for his actions, Saddam hunted for far longer than tax payers could afford, yet tomorrow bush will arrive in Australia a free man, free to smile false as he laughs at Mr Howard, all the while thinking stupid hairy little man. we can change this, we should. we are growing down in false belief.
