Let her be

by Scaito   Sep 11, 2007

Oh God,
Why do you torment us so?
seeing her glow
fade from her face
in such a haste.

Underneath the stars I think of her
knowing full well what I did (to her)
The punishment was well felt last year,
Not knowing where we were going we fear
that it just would not last.

Though our love is strong,
our sins still unpaid
You punish us again threatening
our bond.

I know its my fault, but why punish her
Oh God,
has she not suffered enough?
I know I need to step up to be her knight,
not make any more excuses,
but please God, let her be.

I Love her so much and it pains me to see
the way she is and how she could be.
Please God, just let her be, its all on me....
