If you look past the smile i hide behind
and all the lies i say

and take the mask off my face
if you look past the walls that i have up
that protect me from the things you do
if you look deep enough into my eyes
you might see what i go thru
you'll see all the tears ive cried
all the hurt that ive been thru
my broken heart that barely beats
the girl thats scared of you
you'll see the past that still haunts me
the space where trust use to be
the blackness of my broken heart
the hole he left in me
if you'll just look a little deeper
instead of assuming that I'm fine
you might see who i really am
