Only My Friend

I never imagined in my wildest dreams I would love someone as much as I love you,
Lately I just don't know what to do.

My heart hurts so much and I'm so confused,
I feel so violated and used.

You used my love whenever you wanted then you said good-bye,
Then you even told me not to cry.

So I told myself not to cry over you,
But it's hard to hold back tears when your biggest fear just came true.

I love you with all of my heart and more,
I wish, hope, and pray for things to be like they were before.

But I know thats never going to be,
Because for some reason you fell out of love with me.
So the only thing that I can do,
Is just find away to get over you and move on even though I know I will always love you.

But for now I'm going to forget the times you walked by,
Forget the times you made me cry.

Forget the times you held my hand,
Forget all the sweet things if I can.

I can no longer pretend,
I have to remember now that your only my friend.

    Hey, i liked that, at first i thought the rhuyme scheme was alittle out of sync, but then i realised that makes it fit perfectly with the poem... cos i get the sense of alot of misplaced effort and care... Well done.
