Darkened Forest

by Salwa   Sep 12, 2007

A strong wind is howling, as darkness draws near...
In only a moment the sun disappears...
Deep in the forest, on a restless night...
Shadows are cast by the eerie moonlight...
The wind picks up in a violent storm...
This frightful place takes a whole different form...
The oaks throw a fit, as they toss and they sway...
Most of the animals become frightened away...
They scamper, they stalk, they swoop and slide...
In a desperate attempt to escape and hide...
But the rains and the thunder continue on for hours...
In these lonesome, black woods that nature devours...
