You lay there next to me...

by Mr Rhee   Sep 13, 2007

You lay there, next to me.
Your hair fanned out over the pillow.
So peaceful, so quiet, breathing.

I listen to your breath as it passes
your lips, so close to mine.
If I could just touch them, again.

Your chest, so tempting, rises
and falls, slowly.
It was always so warm there.

I will miss this so much,
I already do.
I never want to leave you.

I should have made you mine,
so long ago.
Just like I promised I would.

Please, don't make me leave,
so I couldn't so this anymore.
Loving you so much, every night.

You lay there, next to me...
