Lost of an Icon

by Norbert   Sep 13, 2007

I couldn't believe what happened when I heard the news.
I couldn't believe that it was true.
I was telling myself that my friend was wrong.
But later on, I knew he was gone.
When I found out the truth, I started to cry.
But today I would like to say good-bye.

If only everyone knew how great Mr. Shin was.
How much he loved the school, teachers, and kids.
He worked so hard but loved what he did.

Not only did he loved his students, but also his team.
Last time I saw them, they looked like a great, big, happy family.
And who could ever forget when he led badminton to "Team of The Year."
When I think back to that, I feel like bursting into tears.

Mr. Shin...........

I want you to know that I'm here to show you my love.
And I hope you can hear me from the sky above.
That I come here today to say, that all of the memories I would love to lived again.
Not only to tell you that you were a great teacher, but also one of my best friend.

I just hope that in heaven you get plenty of rest.
Knowing, as a person, you are still the BEST.

*The best teacher in Oakland High School passed away 2 days before his birthday. Many conceder him as an icon of the school. I think of him as a great teacher and friend when I needed it the most....
