Tender Beats

by Twisted Heart   Sep 16, 2007

Tender beats my heart tonight
Against my breath, the thumping sounds
Your arms are holding me so tight
Within the warmth my soul is found.

The night has captured in its grasp
Two lovers seeking, souls on fire
Each hoping that the night will last
Not sating of their strong desire.

The moon looks on as passion swells
A gentle breeze blows through the night
Consumed by both this loving hell
As sparkles from the stars ignite.

Upon the crest of moonlight's kiss
That fondles sweet two lovers there
Inside the warmth of hearts remiss
Of all the passion two can share.

Still, thumping comes, inside my heart
Tender beats against my breath
A constant stir among the scars
Reflect upon my love's caress.

My sweet Lord, I don`t even know how you pull yourself around to being such an amazing writer ! First thing that stood out was the title, it made me want to read into it and see the story behind it...then the imagery just captivated me, along with the wording and the flow. Then, the way that you tied the title into the poem .. genius. I love your writing !
