Gone with the Wind

Lights on the walls
dancing all around
the golden glow
moves without a sound

i watch the flames
so beautiful and strong
wisping in and out
dancing to a song

a song that can't be heard
the fire moves about
and with a ghust of wind
the fire just goes out

sitting in the dark
sitting all alone
i listen carfully
the wind, it starts to moan

wind rushing by
cold so very cold
a dead broken soul
to the devil was it sold

by the lonely child
i thought i used to know
running about cheerfully
all threw the snow

i remember so well
this child i did know
such a happy soul
why did it have to go

to the devil it was brought
sold for a heavy price
the price that comes with such a soul
someone must die thrice

three other dead
a price He willed to pay
and so he took her soul
and began to play

filling up her soul
with so many tears
cries of fear and bloodshed
sounding oh so near

to me the cries ring
so strong with the wind
how i miss this child
gone with the wind
