Another year passes, now you're getting on.
A Blink of the eye and 60 years have gone.
"Happy Birthday To You .. " yet you don't sing along.
A million times you've heard the stupid song.
You remember the 2nd and the 1st World Wars.
Survived through an ice age, surpassed the dinosaurs.
Many, Many years gone, may you have many still.
Years to come, more of your dreams to fulfil.
Saw the French Revolution, building of the China Wall.
Seen the Eiffel Tower go up, the British Empire fall.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it - it's such a special day.
There's really only one thing left for me to say.
I hope you get everything you hoped for or wished.
But this time tomorrow, another damn birthday'll be finished!
