Sum of Nothing

by Fellow Whos Fell Low In Love   Sep 18, 2007

(Verse 1)
Pick yourself up and follow your dreams
I know it's hard, but this heart needs to forget,
'cause it's time to just flee the scene.

But I'm still choking---on all this love;
I need to breathe, but there's to much blood in my lungs (yeeeahh)

(Chorus)
I've tripped and I've fallen,
Slipped while I was callin' out your name.

Now it's time to dust myself off,
Just brush myself off and forget your name.

(verse 2)
Every day, is just another day
Until you make it worth more than those lost before.
This is probably what I might say...

So every chance, means another choice?, then
It's my chance to ignore your voice!

(Chorus)
I've tripped and I've fallen,
Slipped while I was callin' out your name.

Now it's time to dust myself off,
Just brush myself off and forget your name.

(Bridge)
The sum of all this, is only some of everything,
I gave you my all, and received your all of nothing!
So now it's curtain call, go ahead curtsy or bow
For a silent audience hall...do...you feel...pain now? Like when...

(Chorus)
I'd tripped and I'd fallen,
Slipped while I was callin' out your name.

Now it's time to dust myself off,
Just brush myself off and forget your name.

...but there's too much blood in my lungs ...

What a fantastic poem/song. I wish I could hear whatever melody you have in mind.. It's fantastic.. It works as a poem, but I can feel it as a song. I'm very taken with this, and what it is saying to the reader. Well done, hunny. xx
